Not sure about Ghost, but I do remember the old theatre in town. I got to see a lot of famous acts back when I was young that were passing through Mocksville enroute South or North. The history in Davie/Mocksville runs very deep and if interested, it will take you to some very interesting places and leave you wondering....I love my Mocksville!!!

I am curious about the name(s); i.e. how it became to get the name(s) Mocks Old Field and Mocksville. My Mother's family migrated to Dodge City, Kansas after the Civil War, the family name is Mock.

I am a 7th generation descendent of Devault Mock, your founding father and namesake of your city. I would like any information you may give me on Devault and I would like to come and visit your fair city in the future. I know that Devault aided soldiers during the Revolutionary War, but know little else about him.
