The DAVIE SCHOOL OF DANCE offers classes in ballet, jazz, hip hop, modern, Pre pointe, and tap. Dance is for EVERYONE…we have a TOTS CLASS where little ones are taught 3 styles of dance. The ADULT CLASS offers tap and jazz with a performance at the end of the year at our recital.
ALL CLASSES are broken down by ages and level of technique. Classes start at the BEGINNER LEVEL and continue to the ADVANCED LEVEL. For those students interested in MORE STAGE WORK, we offer competitions at the regional and national levels. We HIGHLY recommend our students to travel with the faculty/staff to regional workshops where they meet nationally renowned teachers and instructors, many of whom are judges on the current popular television show “So You Think You Can Dance.”
DANCE IS FOR EVERYONE!!! No one is turned away due to economic situations. We work with many single families who just need a BREAK and want their children or themselves to enjoy a dance class. We also work with Big Brother, Big Sister, Triumphant Counseling Services, Davie County Social Services, Davie County Senior Citizen Center, and our local school system.
Our goal is to provide a fun yet educational experience to our students. We strive for ALL of our students to respect others, to work within a “TEAM” environment, gain self-esteem, and to obtain essential skills that will carry them throughout life.
The Davie School of Dance is owned by Tami Garwood Langdon and is located at 127 N. Salisbury Street, Mocksville, NC 27028. The staff members are Terry Murphy, Khristen Mears and Ashley Murphy.

For the SUMMER 2012 Davie School of Dance will NOT be offering Summer Classes in the evening Nor Summer Dance Workshops during the day. Unfortunately, we do NOT have enough participation to continue the evening and daytime workshops THIS summer.
Our fall classes will begin in September…the week of Sept. 3rd. OPEN HOUSE will be announced this summer.
If interested in Fall classes, please, give us a call. I will take your information & will call each & everyone with your class schedule, fees, and answer any questions you may have.

Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day
Mayor F.W. Slate proclaims March 31, 2012 as “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day”. The Town of Mocksville invites the County of Davie, Town of Bermuda Run and Town of Cooleemee to join together to pay tribute to the men and women who served our country during the Vietnam War.
All residents are invited to help honor these Vietnam Veterans as they depart in buses from Davie High School approximately at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, to attend the Welcome Home Celebration at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Display your gratitude to these honorable veterans by joining together along the highway or in your yard as you enter Davie High and as the bus departs enroot to Charlotte. Buses will exit Davie High going South on US HWY 601 to Rowan County.
